Deschaux Rapier |
"With its graceful, artistic lines, the rapier has always been a romantic symbol of the Renaissance. The reality is that the rapier is a very deadly hand-to-hand combat weapon, perfectly suited for the swift moves of the duelists of the day. Many hilt forms were tried early on like this three ringed swept hilt. The grip is bone, with a wire wrapping, making for a very secure grip. This is a light, fast and deadly sword with a classical design. Coordinating dagger available #402528. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts. Includes scabbard."

Leuterit Sword |
"The British Museum has many fine Viking swords, but one of the most beautiful and deadly is the Leuterit sword. This sword has the name Leuterit engraved on the blade and it is believed to be the name of the smith that made it. We have not included this on our copy, as it is cost prohibitive. But, we have stayed true to the size and weight of the original, and to its deadly beauty. The Vikings were quite conscious of the need for a good sword. When they found one they took quite good care of it, so that many swords served several generations of warriors. Guard and pommel are silver, with copper lozenges. Grip is wood with silver pins. Made from high carbon steel by Windlass Steelcrafts, complete with scabbard. You have only to draw and hold this sword to know why this type of blade was used from Micklegard to Ireland, and from Iceland to the inland sea of the Mediterranean. Can be sharpened for additional fee."

Musketeer Rapier |
"The musket, though the prime weapon of the French Musketeers, was a cumbersome firearm, both to load and fire. A good rapier was a necessary second weapon. The grip is wood wrapped with twisted wire and the parts of the hilt are plated with gleaming nickel silver. Can be sharpened for additional fee. Matching main gauche available. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts."

Roman Pugio |
"The distinct shape of the Pugio blade was excellent for a close quarters fight, and was used throughout the legions. Although swords and knives were generally not worn by civilians within the boundaries of the Pax Romana, barbarians and bandits were certainly to be found in the outlands, and a merchant or trader best go armed. No doubt many an old legionnaire must have found it easier to keep his balance with the familiar weight on his hip as he worked his farm in new won territory. The wood hilt is paired with a fully tempered high carbon steel blade. Comes complete with a wood scabbard covered in leather with brass parts. Based on remains in the British Museum. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts."

Scimitar |
"The original scimitar was called a shamshir, (which meant lion's tail) and had a deeply curved blade that was almost a half circle. Developed in Persia, this type of blade was effective for draw cuts, but other than that, of limited utility. This caused the blade to shift its shape into a more useful version, which we have chosen to copy. Blade is quite effective, being able to draw cut as well as slash, and the point is quite useful in the hooking thrust often used. Made from high carbon steel by Windlass Steelcrafts. Grip is wood, and the guard and scabbard furniture are steel. Complete with scabbard. A beautiful and romantic sword. Copied from the Hank Reinhardt collection. Can be sharpened for additional fee."
